Richard Flanagan

Richard Flanagan was born in Tasmania in 1961. He is the author of three novels, Death of a River Guide, The Sound of One Hand Clapping and Gould's Book of Fish, the latter winning the Commonwealth Writers Prize. His novels are published to acclaim in 25 countries. He lives in Tasmania with his wife and three children.
