Nigel Krauth's Matilda My Darling won the Australian Vogel Award in 1982, he has written two further critically acclaimed novels, is a regular critic and reviewer, and is head of the School of Humanities at Griffith University, Gold Coast. He has reviewed books and written essays for a variety of Australian journals including the Australian Book Review, Australian Literary Studies, Island, The Age Monthly Review, the Courier-Mail and the Sydney Morning Herald.
